Google may use OG Title for Title in Search Result
Google recently has updated its Title links search developer documentation.
In this documentation, Google has mentioned that it may use og:title for generating titles in search results.
Google uses the below list of elements to generate titles in search results.
- Content present in the title element.
- Heading elements such as H1.
- Content in og:title meta tags.
- Anchor text on the page.
- Text within links points to the page.
- Website structured data.
- Other content that is large and prominent through the use of style treatment.
- Main visual title shown on the page.
- Other text contained in the page.
